My Vision
These are some of the things that I believe as a candidate:
1. All students matter- I will strive to do what is best for all students and not just my child. This includes supporting all student programs and not only what my child is involved in.
2. Career and Technical Education is just as important as College Prep in High School- Some of the greatest job growth in this country are in areas not requiring college degrees.
3. Parental Involvement is Crucial- Getting parents and the community involved in our schools is paramount in ensuring student success.
4. Teachers are the on the Frontlines- Teachers are the first point of contact between students and theirparents and the school district. They should be valued and treated as professionals.
5. Financial Resposibility- General Robert Barrow, USMC has a famous quote: "Amateurs talk about tactics, but professionals study logistics." This is true in school finance as well. Resources should be allocated purposefully for the benefit of all students. More money should be allocated to the point of contact, mainly the teachers and the classroom.
